Today we hosted special guests in our Lutherhaus: The Meeting of the Irish Council of Churches Executive Committee started with a morning worship in the church followed by the meeting in the Lutherhaus.
For my work it is a valuable time sharing thought with representatives of different denominations. To learn from different traditions and thoughts does not mean you leave your own opinion: It enriches and strengthens it and it is good to see the different ways of being the church of Jesus Chirst.
After Lunch we shared thoughts concerning the Brexit and the role of the Churches in the ongoing discussion. Another topic was the relationship between the churches and “Europe”.
(Für alle nichtenglischsprachigen Menschen: Es handelt sich um den Rat aller Kirchen in Irland, und was da tagte, war der Vorstand, dem ich qua Amt für die Lutherische Kirche angehöre.)
