Reformation Day in Dublin

On 31st October 2019 the Lutheran Church in Ireland celebrated 500+2 years of Reformation. The Service was about the love of God, which connects both parts of the Bible: The Jewish creed (5 Mose / Deuteronomium 6:4-5) is about God, who loves us and asks for love. Luther discovered the same in Paul’s letters: Grace comes through faith alone, because God grants his Grace through Jesus – full of love for us.

The service was followed by the Book Launch of “Called To Freedom – Reformation 1517-2017 in an Irish context”, edited by Gesa Thiessen on behalf of the Lutheran Church in Ireland. This book presents and reflects the celebration of 500 years of Reformation in Dublin, organized mainly by the Trinity College Dublin, the German Embassy in Dublin and the Lutheran Church in Ireland.
